How do you sell? We sell by Whole, Half and Quarter. We also offer small bundle options ($75-$175 options) and ground beef bundles on occasion.

How do you charge? Whole, Half and Quarters are sold per pound by hanging weight, and bundles are sold by the bundle (Ranges from $75-$175)

Do you have animals ready to go year-round or only certain months? Wholes, Halves and Quarters are available from March - April, and also from September - January. Bundles are available year-round.

Is there a fee to deliver an animal to Smith’s Custom Meats & Deer Processing, Inc.? No Fee to deliver the animal.

How are your animals fed out? Cattle are raised on grass during the grazing season and finished on Corn and Hay.

Please share a little about how your animals are raised. Our cattle are born, bred and raised right on our farm in Geneseo, IL. We truly believe happy cows make a better product, and we treat all the cattle with that mindset. Mother Cow comfort is top priority, and we carry that through the grazing season when they are caring for their calves, and when the calves are weaned comfort for them while in the feedlot remains one of our top priorities. Calving typically starts in August and is done by mid-September. Calves remain with their mother for about 10 months before they are weaned and then spend the next 9 months on a growing/finishing feed ration to bring you our high quality beef.

Share any additional information you feel would help customers make a decision to use your farm as a producer. We have been providing the Quad City area high quality beef since 2012. Cattle are cared for as if they were part of the family (which they really are in our minds). We often invite customers to the farm to see exactly how the animals are raised. If you aren't quite certain about getting a whole, quarter or half beef, our bundles are a less costly way to try our beef without the need to have a deep freezer, and the year round availability makes it much easier to budget the expense!
